A Podcast for Men Seeking A Purpose.

With Joshua Coffman

Beyond the Kage Podcast

was created for the misfits.  The outlier.  The ones struggling with darkness, for we know for as much darkness as we have there is equal the amount of light within us.  Everyone has a purpose.  It’s time for you to find yours!

The Story Behind Beyond the Kage...

So the story goes…  Originally it was started with myself and Mike Hayden in early 2020.  Mike and I have been friends for close to 15 years and have always had one of those bonds where you could not speak for a year and pick up right where you left off.  It is on of those friendships that from the moment we hung out we knew we’d be family.

I have been using the methods that is continually discussed here: Visualize, Plan, Apply, Execute to my daily routine. There is no doubt that this system made a difference in my life.

Meet Your Host

Joshua Coffman

My story is I’m sure similar to those out there.  I grew up in Lower Merion, PA, (yes, I went to High School with Kobe Bryant), which is right outside of Philadelphia, PA.

I was raised by a single mother, my father left when I was 6 and my brother was 2.  We saw him roughly 4-5 times from the course of when I was 6 until I was 19.  I have no doubt that to some extent it impacted the decisions I made in my life, yet it was always my choice.  I graduated High School and then spent my late teens early twenty’s jumping from New York City to Los Angeles, back to Philadelphia then finally ending up in Los Angeles for the better part of 10 years.  During that time my childhood friend and I ended up working for a real estate company doing foreclosures and sub-prime mortgage loans. That last about 6 months, yet I never would have thought those 6 months would have the impact and repercussions on my life forever.
